RHRC
EVALUATES X-43A AERODYNAMICS

Feb.
21,
2003 - Rolling Hills Research Corporation, a California Corporation, was
selected by NASA Dryden Flight Research Center to
evaluate the aerodynamics of the X-43A "Hyper-X" vehicle. RHRC
will also evaluate the DFRC six-degree-of-freedom simulation model of the
X-43A. The X-43A is a hypersonic SCRAM-JET vehicle program sponsored
jointly by NASA Langley and NASA Dryden. SCRAMJETs are unique in that they
are air-breathing engines where the entire engine flowpath is supersonic.
The first operational test flight of the vehicle is currently scheduled for
Summer-Fall 2003. For addition information, visit NASA's
web pages.
